Jon Boustead – Writer

Jon is the writer of Pangolin. Before taking the position as Director of Drama at St Paul’s Juniors, he worked in the education departments at Chichester Festival Theatre and Riding Lights Theatre Company. A keen playwright for young actors, Jon took these opportunities to create new work for and with young people. Over the years he has had work staged at York Theatre Royal (studio), Friargate Theatre, York Minster School, Chichester Festival’s Minerva Theatre and, since publication with Lazy Bee and Heuer, schools, youth groups and drama societies have performed his plays across the UK and internationally. His play Wilde at Heart came highly commended in the Play for the Nation’s Youth (Salisbury Playhouse and Nick Hern Books) and, more recently, Underground was the ‘Youth Winner’ at Teignmouth Drama Festival. He is currently working on a collection of plays and drama workshops for Drama Facilitators.

May Jennifer Davies – Designer

May is a set and production designer from Cumbria. With a background in fine art she spent eight years working as a filmmaker and mentoring community groups through the design process of short films. Since completing an MA in Theatre Design at Wimbledon College of Art in 2016 she has continued to design across theatre, film and TV platforms. Her design credits include Continuity (dir. Shane Dempsey) at the Finborough theatre, The View from Nowhere (dir. Dan Phillips) at The Park theatre, Modern Love (dir. Emily Warren) at the Pleasance & Et Cetera theatres and The Lost Puppet’s Circus (dir. Grant Hicks) at WCA theatre for which she also designed, made and performed with a puppet. She has designed short films for Creative England and Film London schemes and worked on BBC and ITV productions. May continues to work across multiple platforms and is particularly interested in designing for projects that experiment with several performance element including live performance, puppetry and moving image.

Lily Howkins – Movement Director

Lily is resident choreographer for Theatre Sotto Voce, with whom she has been working on a new children’s musical Behind Enchanted Windows; developing the choreography  through an R&D process at The Unicorn Theatre.  Previous movement direction and choreography includes: Solider On (The Other Palace), Our Boys (PQA Venues), Honk! & H. R. Haitch (The Union Theatre), Caste, Our American Cousin (The Finborough Theatre), By My Strength (R&D with Brickdust Theatre), The Tinderbox (Charing Cross Theatre), The Blues Brothers Special (The Hippodrome), Ecstasies Within (The Southbank Centre & Latitude Festival), The Blues Northers Xmas Special (The Arts Theatre), Murder in Whitechapel (Tristan Bates Theatre), Arnika (The Bridewell Theatre), Shirleymander (The Playground Theatre), Jack & the Beanstalk, Puss in Boots, Robin Hood (Greenwich Theatre).  Lily was the co-director and choreographer for the physical theatre piece Hood! (Edinburgh Fringe Sell-out Award with Peculius Theatre) and has assistant directed for Soldier On, Our Boys, and Jack & the Beanstalk.  Last year she choreographed Buxton Opera House’s pantomime Sleeping Beauty, and is looking forward to returning this year with Dick Whittington.

Peter Wilson – Composer

Peter is an ex-dancer turned composer. Since graduating from the Royal College of Music in 2017, he has been involved in productions at the Donmar Warehouse, The National Theatre, Soho Theatre, RADA, The Bunker, and VAULT Theatre, among other venues. In 2017, he was nominated for an Off-West End Award (‘Offie’) for his music in the production ‘FCUK’D’.
